More trouble for GAME stores?

Activision to be the latest games company to pull out of selling their titles in GAME's stores.

First it was EA, Nintendo, Sega, Tecmo Koei and Capcom who wouldnt allow GAME to sell any of their games this month including Mass effect 3, Street Fighter X Tekken and Mario Party 9, and they also won't be stocking upcoming games including FIFA Street, Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City and Ninja Gaiden 3.

According to leading GAME-gate source MCV, Activision titles Cabela Big Game Hunter 2012 and Zhu Zhu Babies, plus Microsoft's Kinect Rush: A Disney/Pixar Adventure, will not be sold by the retailer and neither will Kid Icarus!

The Sunday Times has mentioned that game might be selling it franchise in order to avoid collapse, with Walmart and Comet owner Opcapita said to have put in offers. MCV reported yesterday that staff within GAME's Basingstoke headquarters believe the firm will fall into administration on March 24 unless a buyer is found.

This is what the retailer had to say on Monday about the situation:

"The Board of GAME is working actively to resolve these issues as quickly as possible. This includes ongoing discussions with suppliers, seeking access to the original facility or alternative sources of funding, and reviewing the position of all of its assets in the UK and international territories.

"It is uncertain whether any of the solutions currently being explored by the Board will be successful or will result in any value being attributed to the shares of the Company."

..Looks like GAME is in trouble :/
